The Eastman flexible aluminum anode rod is designed for residential water heater tanks and helps support long-lasting tank performance. The rod works through electrolysis to help protect the steel walls of the water heater. This anode rod is built with a carbon steel cable and 4 sections of aluminum links with zinc alloy. It is designed for installation at the top of the water heater tank and requires a minimum of 12 inches of clearance. This anode rod measures 45 inches in length and includes a 3/4 inch NPT fitting and a 1-1/16 inch hex head for installation. For best results, inspect periodically and replace every 4 to 5 years.
